When first washed, loose threads may appear and the edges may fray slightly. This is completely normal and is NOT a defect.
After several washes, the fraying naturally settles. Simply trim any long loose threads with scissors if needed.
The unfinished edges are a traditional feature of tenugui. They allow the fabric to dry quickly, stay hygienic, and remain lightweight and easy to use.
